I got a narrow delivery window and the driver arrived on time. Danielle delivered the bed, put it together for me and explained all the functions and gave tips for things we might not have considered (e.g. turn the wheels inwards when you move it so no-one stubs their toes :-D). I didn't do the VAT-free bit properly when ordering, but they sent me a form to fill out and we got the VAT refunded a short while later. A very professional and helpful team, Thanks for all your help.

Once assembled the bed seems just what was wanted.
I would have given 5 "" however I could not find in the manual self assembly, only self-dismantle, so one has to read this backwards!
When dismantling for moving, manual does not include in section Transport brackets para 2, the need to swing locking clips round to secure joing plates to bed ends.

Found that if I has used a pc/Mac there wouldn't have been this issue but I was pleased with the way it was dealt with and kept informed via email as requested. My father needed a hospital style bed to return home following rehabilitation after a broken hip. We checked various suppliers for these beds and checked their ratings on Trustpilot. We decided to purchase from Shelden Healthcare and ordered and paid for the bed online. We received a phone call the next day to organise the delivery and installation. Due to personal circumstances, we were unable to go ahead with the purchase. We contacted Shelden Healthcare who were very understanding and helpful at a very trying and emotional time. Although some people had raised concerns over getting refunds, in our experience this was not the case but the opposite. Shelden Healthcare handled our refund in a prompt and professional manner. The staff we dealt with were always helpful and understanding. We would not hesitate in purchasing from this company if we need anything else in the future.

Buying online, I discovered the bed wasn't really appropriate for a short person (5ft 4" with a broken spine). The real point of the bed was to protect the spine, and this couldn't be done without adding a supportive cushion the same size as the mattress to the top half of the bed, and removing the small "ankle" cushion during entry. She!den put me in touch with an expert to discuss this.

Excellent ServiceAfter enquiring about a hospital for my Dad on live chat (as there were none available from the NHS until 8th September) I received a follow up call from Shelden. I explained that we needed the bed urgently for a hospital discharge and asked for next day delivery. The bed was delivered the very next day, on Saturday morning, at around 08.00 am. The wrong bed and 2 mattresses arrived without any warning and poorly packaged, so the bed was scuffed. The fault lay with the supplier and not Sheldon themselves. It t000k a great deal of effort for Sheldon to get the problem sorted in as short a time as possible, and I was kept informed all the time. Four days later the correct bed arrived and was installed, and the (damaged) incorrect bed was collected, along with one of the mattresses. Sheldon really were good at sorting the problem out.

I ordered the hospital bed at lOpm on Thursday and a commode at 1030 on Friday morning.
Steve was at the door, with bed and commode, at 2pm that afternoon.
He had the bed installed and demonstrated before 3pm and he's a really lovely chap.
I am so impressed. Thank you Sheldon Healthcare. You put everyone else to shame.

I ordered the part on Tuesday afternoon...I ordered the part on Tuesday afternoon and it arrived Thursday morning. Excellent service. I rang to question the model name on the box. The phone was answered quickly by a real person who knew exactly the answer. All Invacare beds use the same raiser. Bed back in working order in less than two days. Full marks.

The service over the phone was great...The service over the phone was great but there was confusion with delivery, in your e-mail it said i would be contacted after 11:00 on day. I then received an e-mail at 6:48 stating lunchtime delivery, then another stating between 8:30 and 9:30 for it to be delivered at 8:45, it was then left with a neighbour, as I was unable to get to the door,very confusing.

I have never bothered doing reviews before because the service is very much the same but Shelden deserve one. I had a query at 6pm about a hoist and my call was answered immediately by Dean who gave me expert advice. When I phoned the next day in the afternoon to place an order the sales lady held the call briefly to call out to the warehouse men to get them to put it on the load so I would get it the following day. She took all the details and immediately processed the order. Today the hoist arrived and the driver willingly offered to bring it into the house despite it strictly being a kerbside delivery due to weight/size. From beginning to end it could not be improved also the best price by far. Thank you Shelden
